What is THE TUBE?

What is it made of?

Two materials, both electropolished: 316L stainless steel as the reference, and Ti6Al4V titanium — the same alloy used in aerospace and surgical implants — for those who want it lighter.

Why printed metal instead of machined?

The body is produced by SLM — laser powder-bed fusion — as a single monolithic part. The bayonet tracks, stops and lugs are printed with the part, not cut afterwards. There are no joints, no welds, and geometry that machining could not reach.

Is it really airtight?

Each chamber closes with a quarter-turn bayonet against a metal-to-metal stop — engineered for an airtight seal with no rubber gasket to age or perish. Every batch is tested before a drop ships. The two chambers remain fully independent.

How does it open?

Align the two lugs with the entry windows, press, and turn a quarter of a turn to the stop. Recessed magnets take the last millimetre and set the cap into its metal-to-metal seat with a quiet, definite click — we call it the 90° Click. The same gesture in reverse opens it.

Do the magnets touch the contents?

No. The four nickel-plated NdFeB rings sit recessed in dedicated pockets, separated from both chambers by solid metal. They never touch the contents — or each other.

Can it open by itself in a pocket?

The track ends in a terminal stop and the magnetic seat holds the cap in place; opening takes a deliberate press and turn.

How do the drops work?

Drop 1 is a closed, numbered edition: each piece carries its own serial, engraved before it ships, and the total is announced before the drop closes. The waitlist grants priority access and early-access pricing — nothing else, and nothing less. There are no countdowns and no artificial scarcity.

Steel or titanium — which should I choose?

Steel is the reference: dense, cool, mirror-bright. Titanium is roughly 40% lighter and warmer in tone. Color is available on both: titanium is anodized, steel receives a PVD coating from a specialist workshop. Both are electropolished to the same finish standard.

Can I personalize it?

Accepted Answer

You may add hand-lacquered logo detailing in gold or bronze, a custom anodizing color, and laser engraving of your own text. A custom color or engraving makes the piece made to your specification: it is excluded from the 14-day right of withdrawal, and a preorder deposit — the percentage is stated at checkout — applies. You can still cancel free of charge up to the start of production.

Where do you ship?

To every EU country, the United Kingdom and Switzerland, with a tracked express courier. Rates by destination and weight are calculated at checkout. We do not ship to the USA for now.

Question 12

UK or Switzerland — will I pay import charges?

Accepted Answer

Yes: both are outside the EU customs union, so our prices do not include their import VAT or duties. The courier collects these charges from you before delivery. We state this at checkout, before you order.

Question 13

Returns and withdrawal?

Accepted Answer

Standard items carry the 14-day right of withdrawal from delivery, no reason needed — email us and return the piece undamaged, in its original packaging, at your cost. Defective or damaged items are always returned at our cost. Refunds go to the original payment method within 14 days. Personalized items — custom color or engraving — are excluded from withdrawal, as EU and UK consumer law provides.

Can I cancel a preorder?

Yes, at any time before dispatch, for a full refund of everything you paid, deposit included. Personalized preorders can be cancelled free of charge up to the start of production. If a material delay emerges on our side, we tell you and you may cancel with a full refund.

Do you issue invoices?

Dimensions and weight?

Ø 21.5 × 74.7 mm closed. In 316L stainless steel the complete kit weighs ≈96 g, magnets included; in titanium, roughly ≈56 g. Same external geometry, two very different presences in the hand.

How do I care for it?

Accepted Answer

Warm water and mild soap, rinse, and dry completely before closing. Avoid abrasives on polished, anodized and PVD surfaces, and skip the dishwasher. That is all the metal asks.
